Language and Translations

Our flows support various language variations. Once you are in the “Flow Editor” section of the campaign’s main menu, you can see the languages your flows are available in directly in the flow block.

Now, let’s learn more about how to manage translations, add a new language, delete one or choose a default one. If you wish to make any adjustments within languages and translations in the flow, click on the specific flow block to open it.

Adding new languages

To add a new language, click on the “A-layers” icon. Available languages are listed there, with an option to “Add new language“. Once you select this option, a new window with a list of available languages pops up. Select desired languages and click on the “Add” button. Once more languages are available, the “A-layers” icon always signals which language you’re previewing. Haven’t found the language you were looking for? Contact us at [email protected].

Selecting default language

The default language for your flow is the language of your organisation. Even the default language can be changed once you add a new language. Here’s how you change the default language. Click on the “A-layers” icon, mark the new default language and choose the “Make this language default” option in the dropdown. The default language is used as a flow variation that is sent to customers/employees if there is no language specified in the data source (if you do not include the specific language in the data, the default language will be used).

Deleting languages

Please note that you are not able to delete the default language variation. Here’s how you delete the language you no longer need. Click on the “A-layers” icon, mark the new default language and choose the “Delete selected language” option in the dropdown. If you need to delete the default language, you have to make another language the default first and then delete the unwanted one. You won’t lose any collected data once you delete a specific language. However, you are not able to restore the deleted language.

Adding translations

There are 2 ways of adding translations to the flow language variations:

1. Choose the default language and click on the “A-layers” icon shown next to every input field (internal name, question, bounds, etc.). This option appears once you hover over the input fields. Once you click on it, a new window pops up, showing you the default language copy and offering you an option to add translations to all available languages at once.

2. Choose the new language and fill in the correct texts to questions, metrics, bounds, internal names, etc., one by one.

Preview language translations

Remember to use the Preview option to click through the flow in all available languages. You can switch the languages in the top right corner.
