Placeholders & Hyperlinks

Estimated reading: 2 min 800 views

While creating or adjusting a flow in the “Flow Editor” section of the campaign’s main menu, you can use placeholders to insert custom data/information to the elements or hyperlinks to redirect to other websites.

PLACEHOLDERS

Placeholders are good for the personalisation of the flow. For example, you can use customer transaction date, employee name or mention the topic that you collect the feedback for. To add any placeholder to the element (paragraph, headline or metrics), start typing “{{“. List of all available placeholders appears, and you just select the one you need.

If you miss any placeholder, adjustments within Data source have to be made – you can only use placeholders for the data you sent to us.

Remember, a placeholder shows the exact same text that is used in your data, therefore the placeholder won’t cover gender variations or other adjustments within text. Also, real value can’t be seen while using the Preview option, since it cannot tell which value will be in the data. It only shows the text of the placeholder (for example: {{customer name}} ).

HYPERLINKS

Thanks to hyperlinks, you can redirect your customers or employees to your website, blog, or share other useful information if needed. Hyperlinks can be added to metrics, questions and paragraphs (other elements are not supported). Here’s how you can add a hyperlink to the text: words you want to use as hyperlink(https://website link)

Example: Thank you for your valuable feedback. Want to know more about our activities? [Check out our blog!](https://staffino.com)
